Call for Speakers

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2024 Improving Lives Conference, taking place on September 17 and 18, 2024. The Improving Lives Conference will focus on issues impacting Trust beneficiaries: Alaskans who experience mental illness, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, as well as Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

This year’s conference themes will include:

Empowering Beneficiaries Through Self-Direction, Employment, Access to Care, and Advocacy
Partnership and Integration as Pathways to Success
Building Strength Through the Community-Based Service Model

It is the duty of the Trust to provide leadership in the advocacy, planning, implementing, and funding of services and programs that improve the lives and circumstances of Trust beneficiaries. This year’s Improving Lives Conference will meaningfully address behavioral health systems across Trust beneficiary groups and strengthening Alaska’s continuum of care. Please join us in September to learn, gather, make connections and share ideas.

Speaker applications will be accepted until Friday, May 31, 2024.

Presentations should be targeted to the conference audience: those who work with Trust-beneficiary serving organizations, providers, and agencies, as well as policy makers, and Trust beneficiaries.

Please note: the Trust will provide one complimentary conference registration for each presentation approved. If you are submitting a co-presented session, you will need to determine the speaker who will receive this registration. In addition, speaker presentations will be posted to the conference webpage following the event. Participation in the conference indicates your permission to use your audio, imagery, content, presentations, etc., for the webpage.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the event or your submission, please contact the Conference Coordinator, Monica Lee, at monica@goveventservices.com.
